Tykes Mad
Barnsley's footy.mad site is pretty typical of the genre, and you know what we mean by now when we say that.
[JM 10-5-05]

Barnsleyfc.net
This is more like it. Basic unofficial site, more of a portal to BFC's busiest internet message board than anything else; with extra articles on and by different fans that help to give this site a real community feel.

Contains.... guess what? Photos related to Barnsley. Does what it says on the tin.

Bradford City

Bradford City Official
PTV site, blah-blah...
[JM 11-5-05]

Boy From Brazil
Impressive news-based independent site with quality articles throughout, serious and humourous alike. If you want to be picky they're perhaps a little smug but to be honest they've plenty to be smug about. No forum but still RECOMMENDED.
[JM 11-5-05]

The City Gent
Above-average rivals.net site, the web presence of the long-running fanzine of the same name. The site is a bit like an iceberg - the more you look, the more you realise there is there to look at. Message board is active.

Typical rivals.net fare for Bees fans. Oh lucky Bees fans! Message board is busy.
[JM 18-5-05]

Make it Beesey on Yourself
Satire-based independent site choc-a-bloc with articles and humour. Some of their stuff is great, some of it misses the mark, but at least it's original. Well worth a browse.
[JM 18-5-05]

The Bee-Hive
A footy.mad site, but for once don't let that put you off. Good coverage of BFC generally, the message board is fairly quiet.
[JM 18-5-05]

Bees United
Online presence of the Brentford Supporters Trust.
[JM 18-5-05]

Bristol City

Bristol City Official
PTV, register or go away.
[JM 11-5-05]

BristolCityNet
City's rivals.net site has that curious mixture of articles that are long out-of-date mixed with topical content typical of so many rivals sites. Worth reading for the topical stuff anyway, includes a fairly active message board.
[JM 11-5-05]

OverTheGate
Apart from the unusual name this is standard footy.mad fare.
[JM 11-5-05]

BCFC Pics
As the name suggests, photos/wallpapers of BCFC games/stadia. Quality is variable and even on my broadband connection the site was slow to load.
[JM 11-5-05]

Bright Cider Life
Used to be a fanzine-type site, now a static tribute site to the late John Atyeo.

Web presence of the now defunct City fanzine of the same name. Stopped updating October 2004.
[JM 11-5-05]

[JM 11-5-05]

Gareth Calway - Bard On The Wire
BCFC's official club poet's web presence. Why don't more clubs have official club poets? Probably because they couldn't compete with this bloke... RECOMMENDED, but take along your sense of humour.
[JM 11-5-05]

Chesterfield

Chesterfield Official
PTV site, register to view.
JM 11-5-05]

[JM 11-5-05]

CFC's footy.mad site is typical of footy.mad sites everywhere (he said, chewing off his fingers. Finding and then reviewing these links is a thankless task and no mistake).
[JM 11-5-05]

Chesterfield Football Supporters Society
This is more like it. Website of the Supporters Association that actually owns the club with all the info members need to know to make informed decisions. A role model for other fans whose clubs are in trouble, RECOMMENDED.

[JM 12-5-05]

Yet Another Unofficial Rovers Site

[JM 12-5-05]

www.doncasterrovers.co.uk
News-led independent site. Worthy.
[JM 12-5-05]

Donny Massive
Donny's rivals.net site is one of the poorer examples of the genre. Why would anyone come here when there are much better genuinely independent Donny sites to visit?
[JM 12-5-05]

Doncaster Rovers Mad
Donny's footy.mad site is one of the poorer examples of the genre. Why would anyone come here when there are much better genuinely independent Donny sites to visit? Agh! Deja vu!

Hartlepool United

Hartlepool United Official
PTV site, register to view.
[JM 12-7-05]

Inthenet - HUFC.net
The Monkey-Hangers rivals.net site is the usual rivals mixture of up-to-date news and comment added to articles literally 5 years out of date - so very useful if you wanted to know who was in Hartlepool's squad in April 2000 then... On the plus side there are good match reports from every season since 2000 and more work in bringing the rest of the site up-to-date is promised. Hosts a busy message board.
[JM 12-7-05]

PoolsOnline
If you can ignore the limitations imposed by the sports.network format, there's a lot of good stuff to be found here. News and general club info is kept up to date and there are some thoughtful opinion articles. Worth a browse.
[JM 12-7-05]

Monkey Business
Website of the HUFC fanzine of the same name, which has been in production since 1989. That's the fanzine, not the website. Back issues can be downloaded in .pdf format. Hosts the busiest HUFC message board
[JM 12-7-05]

Pools Mad
Hartlepool's footy.mad site is, well, not very good really. Er, that's it.

Another neat and tidy independent site that's just had a facelift. Well worth a look as well.
[JM 12-5-05]

HTFC World
Mainly match reports on this site, but match reports with a difference. I won't spoil the surprise, suffice it to say that this is probably one of the most original and funniest footy sites I've seen on the web. RECOMMENDED!
[JM 12-5-05]

Blue and White Stripes
Site set up for collectors of Huddersfield Town programmes & memorabilia.
[JM 12-5-05]

MK Dons Supporters Association
Website of the MK Dons Supporters Association. So that'll be thousands of members then...
[JM 12-5-05]

MKDonsRUs
Site set up to chart progress on Franchise FC's new stadium. Judging by the pics on the site to date it's a muddy hole in the ground - so not that much different to Plough Lane then ("Where's Plough Lane and who plays there?" - FFC fans).
[JM 12-5-05]

Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest Official
PTV site, registration required to view.

[JM 14-5-05]

Forest 24/7
Part of the 24/7 network of sites, which at least makes a small change from rivals.net and footy.mad sites. A very small change. The forum is fairly busy.
[JM 14-5-05]

trentend.com
Don't be put off by the out-of-date front page, inside you will find possibly the most widely used Forest message board - though they all seem fairly busy. That's what comes when you've got a fanbase of 20,000 plus I guess.
[JM 14-5-05]

The Eye
Not much here and what there is is well out of date
[J 14-5-05]

The Real Nottingham Forest Supporter
Two Forest fans chat to each other after games in an 'Alas Smith and Jones' stylee, if you can remember the 80's tv programme of the same name. Sporadically amusing.

Yeovil Town

Yeovil Town Official
PTV site, registration required to view. The multimedia PTV content is now on-stream and has improved the site's functionality with live commentary (provided by BBC Bristol) from all games, brief (very brief) video highlights from matches and various interviews of it must be said poor quality (so far) with the manager and various players. Is it worth the 39.99 subscription? Definitely, if you're a fan who can't get to matches very often and doesn't live within listening distance of Radio Bristol. I'm not so sure it provides value for money otherwise, particularly if you're already paying for a Sky TV subscription, but with the money raised allegedly going to the club then it's worth making the financial commitment in my view. As for the rest of the site the same complaint that has always been made about the official site under the PTV banner continues to be valid - that articles and information present on the site too often do far too little to assist the casual fan to attend matches and that the general air of sloppiness, poor grammar and spelling mistakes throughout the site reflects poorly on the club as a whole.
[JM 11-10-05]

Football In The Community
The Glovers site dedicated to it's community-based activities. Well worth a browse, particularly if you know of a child/school interested in making use of the faciities/coaching available.
[JM 19-5-05]

Kool Colours
Downloadable YTFC wallpaper for your desktop available here, courtesy of forum user 'Colourblast' - click on the 'Yeovil Town FC Desktop Wallpaper' link at the bottom of the index page to see what's available.
[JM 30-7-05]

On To Victory
Online presence of the excellent Glovers fanzine with issues up to no. 9 archived. The site is currently in mothballs following the takeover of the fanzine by the new editors - at present it's not known if they intend to carry on with an online presence. Still worth a browse through the back issues whatever.
[JM 19-5-05]

Yeovil Town Score Forecast
Prediction League for Glovers fans based on Yeovil's results. You can pay to play and the possibility of a cash prize at the end of the season, or if you're innately tight you can play just for fun for free. Entries accepted at any time during the season. Have a go, you know you want to!
[JM 19-5-05]

BBC Somerset YTFC Pages
Good little micro-site from the Beeb which includes YTFC wallpaper, a screensaver, a 360 degree panoramic view of Huish Park as well as the latest news. This is what your licence fee goes on, you know.

YTFC's Ultimate Fanzone
Unofficial fan site with it's own forum. Appeared to run out of steam towards the end of the season
[JM 19-5-05]

The 100 year plan
Still hasn't been updated since August 2000 and I don't suppose it ever will be again now which is a shame. Match reports in the style of James Joyce and Harry Potter, surreal player profiles, and, er, not much more really, but what there is here is brilliant. More please? Pretty please? RECOMMENDED.
[JM 19-5-05]

The Independent YTFC Website
Stopped being updated regularly in 2001, but contains useful archives dating back to 1996.
[JM 19-5-05]

YTFCDynamite.com

[JM 19-5-05]

Yeovil Town Mad
The Glovers footy.mad site, and another site that would appear to be run by professional journalists with no real clue about the club rather than proper fans. File under W for 'Why'?

Seattle Sounders
Not technically a YTFC site, but the USA side have nominated the Glovers as their English club to follow, hence you'll find a friendly welcome from this lot if you let them know who you are.
[JM 19-5-05]

Dutch Glover
A second club to 'twin' the Glovers with their team. These lads hail from FC Groningen in Holland and last visited Huish Park in March 2005, the day we were thrashed by Notts County. They must be bloody mad to keep coming back, but respect to them anyway!
[JM 19-5-05]

Erin Go Bragh
A third club to 'twin' the Glovers with their team. This lot hail from Coatbridge in Lanarkshire and are Glasgow Celtic supporters who have made it their quest to support all other green'n'white hooped clubs to greater glory. Last spotted taking a coachload of supporters across the border to support us against Carlisle in January 2004.
