Born in Mullingar, Ireland on February 18th 1993, he started his youth career with Mullingar Athletic, before being signed up by Watford in 2010. He turned professional with the Hornets in May 2012 after a successful scholarship. Overall he made 13 first team appearances for them including three League starts, but in the main gained loan experience with Wealdstone, Gillingham and Stevenage across a four year period.
In January 2016, he left Watford by mutual consent and had a short spell with AFC Wimbledon, playing eleven games for them at the tail end of the 2015-16 season, thus being part of their squad who gained promotion from League Two. He then signed for Plymouth in the summer of 2016, where he made 31 appearances for them, scoring two goals, albeit with only twelve of those appearances coming as League Two starts. For the second season running he was part of a side that gained promotion from League Two
He was released by Plymouth at the end of the 2016-17 season and so joins Yeovil Town as a free agent. He generally operates as a central midfielder.
