One of Yeovil Town's summer trialists has moved on to another club. Striker Bradley Ash, who had been used during the friendlies against Stratford Town and Hereford has now landed on Newport County's training ground. The Weston-super-Mare born player was absent from the squad that played against Swansea City and he appears to have headed to South Wales in the lead-up to that match.
Ash played in Newport County's 1-1 draw against Bath City on Friday night, scoring their goal at Twerton Park in the opening 45 minutes at half time. He also appears to have been used in a low key Tuesday night match that Newport played against Undy AFC, which featured a large number of Exiles Academy players mixed in with trialists.
Yeovil Town have been using a range of strikers as trialists during pre-season, with manager Darren Sarll indicating that a partner for Rhys Murphy was one of his key positions that he wants to fill. Ash scored the winning goal against Hereford in his second appearance for the club, but looks to have moved on following that match. During Tuesday night's game against Swansea City, the club used former Crewe Alexandra forward Alex Nicholls and former St Albans City striker David Moyo.
