League Two side Exeter City have signed up former Yeovil Town striker Alex Fisher. The 28 year old has penned a contract as a free agent, thus keeping him in the Football League. At present no contract length has been revealed. Fisher has revealed that he had a trial with the Grecians a couple of years ago, under Paul Tisdale's management in the summer of 2015, but nothing came of it. He knows the West Country well, having also played for Torquay United during the first half of the 2015-16 season before his move to Scotland. He therefore has said that it is a club he is familiar with:
"I'm absolutely delighted, I spoke to the gaffer last week and I was really happy to get this one over the line. St James Park is the ground where I made my first ever professional start, so Iíve got memories of the stadium. I played last year when the new stand was finished, and it really added a new dimension. Playing down towards the Big Bank is a really formidable place to play against, so being able to shoot towards it for the club will be a real motivation for me."
Fisher finished the 2018-19 season with Yeovil Town as their top goalscorer, albeit with only eight goals to his name. Overall he netted 14 times in 62 appearances since his arrival at Huish Park in January 2018. The best of luck to him in the future.
