Former Yeovil Town loanee Nathan Baxter has found himself a club for the 2019-20 season. He has signed on loan for Scottish Premiership side Ross County, who were promoted from the First Division as Champions at the end of last season. The Chelsea goalkeeper will commence his fifth loan spell that has gradually seen the English Premier League club move him up a level each time, with the obvious goal of trying to turn the 20 year old into a first team player.
As a result of that policy, Baxter already has 122 first team appearances to his name, including the 38 he gained at Huish Park during the 2018-19 season. His performances saw him grab most of the club's Player Of The Season Awards, taking home five trophies, as well as being on standby for England Under-21s. He will now move up to Scotland, where co-manager Steven Ferguson is hopeful of his chances of being a success:
"I am delighted that we have secured a contract with Nathan and he obviously is coming from a background which will allow us to use his skills and experience developed at Chelsea FC."
Nathan's move is subject to international clearance, although that is unlikely to be a problem.
