Yeovil Town have been given a home draw in the Third Round of the EFL Trophy. The Glovers will face Southampton U21s or Reading U21s at Huish Park as a reward for Tuesday night's 4-1 victory over Milton Keynes Dons.
If it does turn out to be the Royals, then we've already played them in the Group Stages, winning the match 2-0 win goals from Tom Eaves and Francois Zoko at the Madejski Stadium during November. Southampton and Reading are due to meet at St Mary's on December 21st.
The draw was made live on Sky Sports News this morning and produced the following set of ties:
Mansfield Town vs Walsall or Oldham Athletic
Luton Town vs Chesterfield
Oxford United vs Scunthorpe United
Blackpool vs Wycombe Wanderers
Cheltenham Town or Leicester City vs Bradford City
Yeovil Town vs Southampton U21s or Reading U21s
Coventry City vs Brighton and Hove Albion U21s
Swansea City U21s vs Wolverhampton Wanderers U21s
All Third Round ties are due to be played during week commencing January 9th, with Tuesday 10th January the most likely date for most of those ties to be played. However, with Cheltenham Town and Leicester City only playing their Second Round tie during that week, the Third Round tie affecting the winners of that tie will inevitably be delayed.
