Yeovil Town goalkeeper Artur Krysiak speaks to local journalist Chris Spittles, in an interview for BBC Somerset, after the 3-1 win over Morecambe on Saturday 11th March 2017.
CS: Artur, congratulations on your 100th appearance for Yeovil today. It must be nice to celebrate the milestone with a win.
AK: It's been a really fantastic achievement, and I'm really glad that I can be really proud of the team and of a club that has got a great history of producing players and giving them a chance. I need to thank Darren Way for keeping me at the club and offering me a two year contract (last summer). I think there's one more person that I would like to thank, and that's my wife. She has stood by me since day one, and she's been with me through my highs and lows, so a very big thank you and I'm really glad that she is my wife.
CS: It's important that you mention Darren Way, because under the previous manager I think you were told that you were free to leave the club, and to find another club. But you were determined to stay, and keep battling.
AK: Yes, that was a difficult time for me. But you have to believe in yourself. I'm a believer and I believe in myself and my ability. I stood for myself and I proved that I can be part of the team and part of a fantastic club. So it has been difficult but I went through obstacles. As you can see, we've got a fantastic team. I'm part of it, and I'm really proud of what we've achieved so far.
CS: How pleased are you that you've won your 100th game in such style, so you can really celebrate on the back of it.
AK: I will celebrate it, because I have to enjoy those moments. On the back of the really disappointing defeat against Luton, I think we needed to have a reaction. We spoke amongst ourselves and we spent so much time on the training ground to get things right, and as you see we've got the potential to still win games. So thank you to the fans for coming today to support us, and for sticking with us. There has been frustration in the camp, and in the stands. But thank you to the fans for still believing in us, and still coming to the games.
CS: As a goalkeeper playing behind that team today, how impressed were you with the amount of chances that you created today?
AK: I knew we'd got to get things right. Seven days is a long time, and we spent those seven days training and getting things right. I was really really impressed. Morecambe only had two chances - unfortunately they took one, but we came back and we scored three goals, and that's fantastic because that is a platform that we can build on, and we can focus upon Barnet now.
