Qu: A lot must have been said at half-time to fire everyone up for the second half as you responded with a goal less than a minute after kick-off?
DP: The gaffer said that I had not done enough the first-half and he wanted me to do something in the next ten minutes, so I just pulled it out of the bag. It was my second start and first league goal. The feeling is amazing.
Qu: Talk us through the goal.
DP: Johnno got hold of the ball in midfield and I just saw the space so I made a darting run and he just slipped the ball through. I took just one touch and hit it across the keeper.
Qu: You have had a mixed season so far - it seems to me that every time you got back into the reserves and you looked fit, you picked up something up, whether it is illness or injury. You have had a bit of bad luck so far.
DP: That is football isnt it. You have got to take the knocks and you have got to keep working hard in training and giving it 110 percent and hopefully you will get your chance. Hopefully I took my chance today, so hopefully I can stay in the team.
Qu: Were you surprised, yet delighted, to see yourself starting today - Steve Thompson even left out the club captain and Chris Weale rather than to change the winning side last week.
DP: Yeah definitely, as I have already said, you have got to keep working 110 percent in training. I was surprised to see myself in the team but you have got to look at it as a positive and take your chance when it comes.
Qu: You must be hoping that you will stay in the side for the local derby this Friday against Bournemouth.
DP: I definitely want to play in derby games. The passion is there and I just want to win and hopefully I can stay in the team.
Qu: It was a big win today as Barnsley had been in top form recently for the past twelve matches.
DP: That was a massive win. The lads have shown a lot of character today. As in previous games, we have shown that we can come from 1-0 down and go on to win games and that is a great team spirit - you need that in clubs. We have shown that week-in, week-out. We were one nil down against Rotherham and to show that character is unbelievable. Every single week the lads want to win for each other.
